Ashley Leonard

Ashley Leonard, NetworkD CEO

Ashley Leonard is President and CEO of NetworkD Group, which he founded in 1996. NetworkD, the first company to be acquired by Sparxent,is the number one provider of infrastructure management software and business process solutions, designed and delivered on a global platform, with over 5000 clients globally. NetworkD is a leading information technology support provider with offices in North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific regions. Under Ashley’s leadership, NetworkD has made a number of strategic acquisitions and partnerships that have enhanced its ability to serve rapidly evolving customer requirements. Previously, Ashley was President and CEO of Miami-based Genisys Computer Services Inc., which provided comprehensive IT service consulting to the banking community. In 2006, Ashley was named as a finalist for both Ernst & Young's "Entrepreneur Of The Year" and AeA's "Outstanding Private Company CEO" Awards. He studied at Exeter University in the United Kingdom and later taught at Massachusetts’s Boston University.

Ed Ekstrom

Ed Ekstrom, Managing Partner vSpring

Ed is a managing partner of vSpring Capital, one of the best performing and most innovative venture capital funds found in the Mountain West region of the US. Before joining the vSpring team, Ed served as Vice President of the Intel Communications Products Group and GM of the Intel Utah Software Development Center, a post given to him after Intel acquired LANSystems where Ed was a Principal. Prior to Intel, Ed was a Vice President at CeriSyn and a founder at Cericor, which was acquired by Hewlett Packard in 1985. Ed is a Trustee at Westminster College and a director of the Economic Development Corporation of Utah. Ed holds a BS in computer science from Brigham Young University and a MBA from Westminster College. Ed led vSpring’s investments in Cemaphore, Fatpipe Networks, Gandiva, LANDesk Software (acquired by Avocent), Levanta, XAware, and Soronti (acquired by Avocent).

Steve DeWindt

Steve DeWindt, Sparxent CEO

Steve DeWindt is an experienced, successful, senior corporate executive who has provided leadership during critical high-growth stages of well-known high technology industry pioneers such as Intel and Computer2000 AG as well as entrepreneurial driven start-ups. Steve’s executive management and global sales experience spans more than two decades. During his career, Steve has led international teams that have generated more than $6 billion in sales. Steve also has hands-on entrepreneurial experience, including his tenure as co-founder and President of BlueRoads, a Software-as-a-Service channel management firm. At BlueRoads, Steve was responsible for procuring the company’s first round of financing and entering into strategic partnerships with Fortune 500 clients. As Co-President and member of the Board for Computer2000 AG, the largest international wholesale distributor in Europe of information technology products, Steve drove expansion of both product lines and geographies growing revenues from $800 million to $3.5 billion in less than four years. Other executive positions Steve has held include CEO with AmeriQuest Technologies, an NYSE traded wholesale distributor of information technology products, and several positions with Intel including Director of Worldwide Reseller Sales. Steve holds an MBA from UCLA's Anderson School of Management and a BA in Business from Principia College. He is also currently serving as non-executive chairman of OptionEase, Inc., a Software-as-a-Service company focused on stock option valuation compliance under FAS123(R).

Dave R. Taylor

Dave R. Taylor, Sparxent CMO

Dave R. Taylor is an accomplished senior executive who spent the last 15 years at LANDesk software in virtually every sales and marketing role, including GM of EMEA, GM of Professional Services, VP of Global Sales, VP of Strategic Alliances, and VP of Worldwide Marketing. Dave has broad geographic experience, including five years in Europe: three years overseeing the launch of LANDesk products in Europe, Middle East, and Africa and two years as General Manager of Intel's LANDesk European division. In these roles he has produced tremendous results, driving 40% annual sales growth and driving LANDesk's European sales to approximately 40% of worldwide sales. Prior to his time at LANDesk, Dave also spent time at both Intel and Microsoft in marketing and sales roles. He is a strong strategic planner with a proven track record of recruiting, motivating and retaining teams of excellence.

Dave has an MBA from Brigham Young University with an emphasis in High Tech Marketing, and a BA in English also from BYU.

Enrico Pesatori

Enrico Pesatori, Chairman Penguin Computing

Enrico Pesatori was appointed CEO and chairman of Penguin Computing, a leading provider of high performance computing clustering solutions, in 2003 where he still serves as chairman. Previously, Mr. Pesatori was CEO of BlueArc, a network attached storage company, where he successfully introduced its first generation of products and established a strong reputation for the company in the storage industry.

Prior to BlueArc, Mr. Pesatori served as senior vice president and group general manager of Compaq’s enterprise solutions and services group. Enrico was also president of Tandem Computers, Inc. and joined Compaq when it acquired Tandem Computers in 1997. He also previously held several senior management positions with Digital Equipment Corporation including senior vice president and general manager of the computer systems division and personal computing division. Mr. Pesatori also spent many years working with Olivetti, now a mobile telecommunications company, where he held a variety of executive positions including CEO of Olivetti North America. He earned a Masters degree in Electronic Engineering from Polytechnic Institute in Turin, Italy.
